First of all, if you looked at the news this morning, I*m sorry. When you look at the news, it is easy to feel that evil is winning. There are a lot of bad people doing a lot of bad things. That has always been the case for those living *under the sun,* those of us who live on this earth. I want to tell you that there is a Higher Power. Ecclesiastes 5:8 reminds us of that. The Bible reminds us here that there is a Power higher than money. There is a Higher Power than force. Ecclesiastes refers to the *violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province.* There have been a lot of people and nations throughout human history who have perverted justice for their own gain. There is a Higher Power than politics. Ecclesiastes speaks of all these things in the framework of a *province.* It is a reference, of course, to the government of people. It is talking about politics. |
